I can’t recommend Zak Rhodes highly enough. I first met Zak about eight months ago through a business appointment, and right away he struck me as someone who was incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and simply someone you want to know in the real estate business.

Fast forward eight months, and when it came time for me to purchase my first home, Zak was the first person I thought of for my mortgage. My expectations were already high based on our previous interactions, but somehow, he found a way to exceed them.

From start to finish, Zak was knowledgeable, responsive, patient, and genuinely invested in making sure I understood the process and felt confident in every decision. Buying your first home can be overwhelming, but having someone like Zak in your corner makes a huge difference. He was always willing to answer questions, explain things clearly, and go the extra mile to make the process as smooth as possible.

What started as a professional connection turned into someone I was incredibly grateful to have in my corner during one of the biggest purchases of my life.

Zak is a wonderful loan officer. I crossed paths with Zak when we were buying a new home. My wonderful agent referred Zak to me and told me that Zak is someone who has made the impossible possible with another client. Getting a loan to buy a home can be very stressful, but my journey with Zak was smooth, easy and effortless. From the first phone call to signing at the escrow company,  Zak was cool, calm, and easy to work with, and he kept me updated every step of the way. I was presented with well supported scenarios and options, which I much appreciate. I also like the fact that Zak (and his team) is very thorough - they dot the i’s and cross the t’s and make sure everything is in perfect order. As a result, closing was swift and on time. Every time we found a house we liked, he quickly provided a detailed breakdown of costs to close along with clear expected mortgage payments. I am self-employed, with income that fluctuates from year to year. When I first approached Zak, I was not at all certain that I qualified for a mortgage. Zak showed me that I did qualify, and then he shepherded the process expertly from start to finish. He even stayed on top of everything while out of the country on vacation. Another wrinkle Zak added was the ability to do our mortgage in Florida, even though he is based in Northern Virginia, where we were located before our home purchase. He walked us through the whole process, got us pre approved quickly and answered questions thoroughly up until day of closing. The best part was he did this all the way from Virginia while we were living in San Antonio, for the purchase of our second home in Brownsville, TX. Time zones and distance did not get in the way of making sure we made it to closing with ease and this is all thanks to Zak. He spoke to us about the interest rates and also locked us in below 6% the first  moment he could which I really appreciated! We didn’t experience this type of care with our first home purchase and he really set the stage and exceeded our expectations and we can’t wait to use him in the future. My wife and I knew nothing about the home buying process as we were first time home buyers and Zak made it as easy as can be.
