The customer service was outstanding!  I was in the middle of an extremely complex project at the office that was competing for my attention with my homebuying efforts.  I was having difficulty keeping up with everything. Duke Walker and his team were amazing!  They made sure that everything stayed on track, and they made sure that I stayed on track with everything that I needed to do. Not once did they make me feel ineffective  When I dropped the ball or was late getting something done because of the competing work priorities the team was always there with  gentle reminders and keeping me on track.  They were always professional and equally important to me, always kind and generous with gentle reminders to help  me get across the finish line.  I could not have asked for a greater experience in buying my home!  I’m honestly very grateful for the time and effort they put in to make sure I got to closing!  You cannot make a more better or solid choice in purchasing your home with Movement!  They are,  in my opinion and Hall top notch team, And I don’t think you could find better customer service elsewhere. This is Kristan’s and my third time working with Duke. He’s always been helpful and communicative throughout the entire process. Duke is very good with people and is extremely patient and takes time to answer questions you have. His knowledge and professionalism is second to none. The house buying/lending process can be stressful but working with Duke and his team makes it feel like a breeze. Duke was great to work with! My husband and I are first time home buyers and are not very well versed with the process or finances in general. I am sure that we asked a lot of very simple questions, but Duke took them in stride and shared information in a way that helped us understand and also avoided making us feel like we were idiots (which I almost expected from anyone given our lack of knowledge). He was patient with us as we figured out our finances and when the appropriate time to buy was, sticking with us through about 6 months of communication. Movement Mortgage does also use online document signing services which made closing a breeze and allowed us to review documents prior to our settlement meeting.

The only critique that I have is that when we were shopping around for loans once we put an offer in that was accepted, his response to our inquiries comparing product offers from other lenders to his made us feel a bit guilty. Fortunately, our realtors and the lenders that we decided to forgo working with ensured us that it is normal and appropriate to shop around and compare loans, even after quite some time of communication and within a contract period. So, our guilt subsided.

Overall, we are pleased with our product and appreciate Duke for his expertise, personality and professionalism.

There's a reason why they call Duke the "Duke of D.C."

First, his name is Duke. Second, he's really good at his job and makes the process of getting a mortgage less-than-terrible—even as the Fed appears to be trying to bully *you personally* via rising interest rates.

On the whole, I'm glad the homebuying process is over at this point. The only downside is that I don't get to panic-text Duke with questions only to have him instantly respond and calm my fears. Normally I have to pay a psychiatrist $250/session for that kind of service.

I bought my first home last month, and Duke was instrumental in helping me throughout the process. Duke took the time to guide me through the complex process, making sure I understood all of the complexities of the mortgage process, helped me get pre-approved quickly, and helped me get a great deal.
