Working with Jeremy and Alysia at Vellum Mortgage was truly an outstanding experience from start to finish. Jeremy was thorough, patient, kind, and incredibly knowledgeable throughout the entire home loan process. As a first-time homebuyer using HPAP, I especially appreciated his education-first approach. He took the time to explain every step, answer all of my questions, and make sure I felt informed and confident in my decisions.

Jeremy is clearly an expert when it comes to HPAP loans and navigating unique financial situations. He and his team worked around the clock to secure the best deal possible and presented tailored options that fit my specific needs. The level of care, responsiveness, and professionalism from the entire team was exceptional.

Alysia was also fantastic throughout the process. She kept me informed at every stage and always met me where I needed her to, whether that was via email, phone call, or text. She was proactive, responsive, and consistently worked to get to the bottom of any issues that came up while coordinating with the many parties involved. Having someone that communicative and dependable made the process feel so much smoother.

I genuinely loved working with Jeremy and Alysia and would highly recommend Vellum Mortgage to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, supportive, and dedicated lending team.

Although we ended up using a different provider for our home mortgage, I reached out to Greg Kingsbury at Vellum Mortgage twice for quotes.  In both cases he was extraordinarily professional and took the time to explain the quote thoroughly, even though it was fairly clear we were going to end up using the other provider.  His rates were extremely competitive and he beat our own provider in both cases.  His responsiveness ended up saving us quite a bit of money on our mortgage. The seller wanted a 21 day close which felt very aggressive but the Vellum team was unfazed and made it happen. The best home loan team in the DMV - HANDS DOWN! Greg and his team helped our family with our first home loan in DC - he made a stressful time easy by taking the time to explain everything clearly and answering all our questions.  His staff gave us a step by step guide and helped us throughout the process - and with a really good rate.  Fantastic service and response time to any question we had.  We were so impressed we went back to Greg when we moved - he helped us secure a great loan rate for our home in Reston in Jan 2018... I will say I had a question on New Years Day, emailed Greg and got a response in minutes - impressive...goes to show they are very responsive, very helpful.  It means a lot to have folks who care about you and your family when your going through some major exciting yet stressful moments in your life. What I value the most and the reason I would write a recommendation is the extensive knowledge that they have from so many years lending in the challenging DMV market.  I often contact Greg Kingsbury to ask an in the weeds question and he knows the answer or does a bit of research and gets right back to me with a thoughtful response...That's why I say this team closes loans!
